MISmokeFreeApartment initiative begun in
Michigan in 2004 because:
ï Other remedies, including legal, werenít getting the results we hoped for.
ï We thought landlords would adopt smoke-free policies if they were sure it was legal.
ï We didnít think a legislative approach would succeed at this time.
